Children, Schools and Families Bill, 19/11/09 [W]

Jane Hutt, Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills, has issued a written statement on the Children, Schools and Families Bill.

The Minister says that the Assembly Government has taken the opportunity this Bill presents to seek framework powers on the regulation of home education for those of compulsory school age, and to include the inspection of services provided by local authorities to those persons involved in the provision of education to home-educated children.

The full statement is available on the Welsh Assembly Government website.
