Higher Education Student Finance, 18/03/09 [W]

Jane Hutt, Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills has made an oral statement on higher education student finance.

The tuition fee grant for new students is to be phased out from academic year 2010-11, while £44m will be redirected towards increasing the means-tested Assembly Learning Grant from £2,906 in 2009-10 to £5,000 in 2010-11.

The statement is available on the Welsh Assembly Government website.
