End of consultation: 02/09/08

The Welsh Assembly Government is seeking views on how to strengthen the administration and enforcement of the blue badge scheme.

The consultation paper includes a number of proposals to:

• make improvements to the badge design;
• establish a national data sharing system;
• introduce new powers for local authorities to remove lost or stolen badges;
• raise the level of the fee; and
• launch a public awareness campaign.
