End of consultation: 08/08/08
This consultation seeks views on the Home Office's plan to extend the British Crime Survey to include under-16s.
The British Crime Survey is a large nationally representative survey of approximately 47,000 adults living in private households in England and Wales. It asks people about their experiences and perceptions of crime and crime-related topics such as anti-social behaviour and the police. It has been proposed that the survey could be extended to cover under 16s, and that this should be done by interviewing children aged 10 to 15 in households selected to take part in the main survey.
