Tackling Domestic Abuse: the All Wales National Strategy, 30/6/04 [W]
Consultation Period: 30/6/04 to 22/9/04

The Welsh Assembly Government is consulting with statutory and voluntary organisation on the draft all Wales strategy for tackling domestic abuse. The strategy aims to facilitate the development of a "joined-up" problem-solving approach to domestic abuse in Wales, which would provide protection for the victims of abuse and also address the causes of the abuse. The strategy recommends:

  • Standards to which individual agencies/organisations/and employers should adhere to

  • Incorporation of specific measures aimed at tackling domestic abuse to be into local Community Safety Plans

  • Close working between Domestic Abuse For a and Community Safety Partnerships to assist with this work
