Strategic action plan to address violence against women and to update the Welsh Assembly Government’s domestic abuse strategy, 22/06/09 [W]

Consultation ends: 21/09/09

The Welsh Assembly Government is consulting on its strategic action plan to address violence against women.

The strategic action plan aims to update the All Wales Domestic Abuse Strategy, which was published in 2005.

The new strategic action plan recognises that women are overwhelmingly the victims of violence in the home and responds to this by placing greater emphasis on actions which address violence against women more specifically. The plan tackles issues such as prostitution, sexual assault and trafficking as well as ensuring that women feel safe in their homes and in public places.

The consultation document is available to download from the Welsh Assembly Government website.
