This consultation presents the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation 2008: Child Index. This index has been produced using the main Index of Multiple Deprivation, with separate domains of deprivation.  This is a new approach to producing an index for children and the consultation explain how it works and the choice of indicators so they can be critically reviewed.   The consultation is being carried out so that so that areas identified for investigation can be included in the development phase for the next WIMD update.

The consultation runs until 9 January 2008.
