Consultation ends: 24/10/08

This consultation document seeks views on the content of the draft regulations which the Welsh Ministers propose to make under section 24 of the Education Act (2002) and related guidance. 

The draft regulations will enable governing bodies of any number of maintained schools, including nursery schools, to formally federate under a single governing body, whilst maintaining their individual identity and character.

Through working together, the Welsh Assembly Government believes that schools can share best practice, develop new approaches and promote activities which would be difficult to sustain individually.
