The Ministry of Justice has published a summary of the responses received to the consultation on the Youth Crime Action Plan.
The Plan set out a three-track approach to tackling youth crime: enforcement and punishment where behaviour is unacceptable; non-negotiable support and challenge where it is most needed; and earlier prevention.
The consultation consisted of 11 questions and 86 responses were received.
The summary outlines the initial government response to the issues raised. In due course the government will report on progress on delivering the commitments in the action plan and the next steps.
The document is available to download from the Ministry of Justice website.
