The Ministry of Justice carried out a consultation on Forced (Civil Protection) Act 2007 - Court Rules, between January and April 2008. A summary of the responses to the consultation was published on 30 September 2008.

The UK Government has published its response to the recent consultation on the Independent Safeguarding Authority scheme for vetting and barring those who wish to work with children or vulnerable adults. It includes clarification for: businesses that employ children; mixed-age educational settings; and referrals from and to employers about concerns.
