The 4 Nations Child Policy Network is a partnership between the National Children's Bureau, Children in Northern Ireland, Children in Scotland and Children in Wales.
In 2001, the partners developed a policy information service for those working with children and young people. The purpose of the service was to bring together information from the four nations in one place, to enable practitioners to understand comparative policy and identify best practice. This work was supported by the Community Fund.
As of September 2005, the 4 Nations Child Policy website was devolved to four linked websites run by each of the partners. From each site, users can find the national information that they need, as well as access comparable information from the other jurisdictions through links between the sites. Cross-nation news feeds and the UK email bulletin provide up to date child policy information from across the UK political system.
