The Prince’s Trust YouGov Youth Index, 05/01/09 [W/E/NI/S]

The Prince’s Trust has published a report based on a large-scale study investigating how young people feel about the state of their lives today and how confident they are about their future.

The results show that of those 16-25 year olds polled, one in ten believe life is not worth living or meaningless. For young people not in education, employment or training 37% stated that they frequently felt depressed, whilst 27% of this group said that their lives had no purpose.

The report is available to download from the Prince’s Trust website.
