Hear By Right: Setting Standards For the Active Involvement of Young People in Democracy

Using case studies this book encourages councils to look seriously at how they currently involve and engage young people in local democracy and where and how improvements could be made.

The standards are based on a self-assessment model and are divided into three levels: emerging; established; and advanced; each representing the extent to which the active involvement of young people is built into the local authority processes.
