NSPCC: How safe are our children? 2018 report 10/08/2018 [W/E/S/N.I.]


NSPCC have published their annual report reviewing child protection in the UK.

It analyses child protection data from the four countries in the UK and sets out different indicators looking at ‘how safe are our children?’ from different perspectives. It also compares with historical data to view progress over time.

Key findings from the report indicate that there have been increases in police-recorded child sexual offences across the UK and increases in child cruelty and neglect offences in all UK nations except Scotland.

It also make recommendations calling for legislation related to the UK Government’s commitment to bring legislation protecting children online.
