The Welsh Government has published the latest data on the number of households applying for housing assistance to local authorities.

This report presents data on the number of households applying for housing assistance under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, alongside the number of homeless households in temporary accommodation in 2015-16. A total of 2,667 households were assessed as threatened with homelessness within 56 days between April and June 2016, homelessness was successfully prevented for 1,458 of these households for at least six months. At this time, 2,667 households were assessed as being homeless and owed a duty to secure accommodation, 1,071 of these households were helped to secure accommodation thought to last for at least six months.
