Consultation for young people on youth parliament for Wales, 28/04/17 [W]

28.04.17

The Llywyd of the National Assembly for Wales, Elin Jones AM, formally launched a consultation on a youth parliament for Wales at her old school in Lampeter.

In 2014, the Assembly committed to becoming a world leader in youth engagement with the publication of the Young Person’s Charter. Following that it announced its intention to establish a youth parliament in October last year. The consultation is a way for young people to influence the future of the youth parliament and asks their views on a name, its aim, membership, role and values.

Responses to the consultation can be made through the youth parliament website, and the consultation will include regional events during Welsh Youth Work Week.

The consultation will run until the 30 Jun 2017.
