Children, Young People and Education Committee – Report of the inquiry into statutory advocacy provision, 07/02/17 [W]
The Children, Young People and Education Committee has published a report following the Committee’s inquiry into provision of statutory advocacy.
The report summarises the evidence received. It gives the views of the Committee that advocacy is vital for vulnerable children and young people, and expresses concern about progress on the current national approach.
The report makes recommendations as to how provision can be improved. This includes ensuring that all local authorities are signed up to the national approach by Janaury 2017, and that this has been implemented by June 2017.
