The Bevan Foundation looks at some of the potential poverty challenges in 2018

The Bevan Foundation has published its report ‘Tough Times Ahead? What 2018 might hold for Wales.

The report predicts the outlook for 2018 by examining the forecasts and planned outputs for the coming year.

It looks at the economy and the labour market, standard of living, society and politics.

The Bevan Foundation predicts Wales’ GDP growth to be below the UK average, and for 13.1% of young people (16-24 year olds) to be unemployed. For the next year, the squeeze on the standard of living is expected to continue.
