The Children and Young People’s Rights Practice Exchange Group (North Wales)

This network was established in 1997 in response to the need for practitioners from all over Wales to meet to share good practice and develop work relating to participation and children’s rights.

The main benefits to members of the networks are the opportunities to:

  • share information and good practice
  • obtain support from other members of the group
  • stimulate developments in the field, such as research, training and conferences

A wide variety of agencies and project workers attend the meetings which mean that the opportunities to share information and good practice can be particularly useful.

Network meetings are held quarterly with each meeting following a particular theme.  External speakers are invited to the meetings and give presentations on the theme.  Presentations for former meetings can be downloaded from the events archive.  The meetings are held bilingually and simultaneous translation is available at each meeting.

Membership

Membership of the Network is open to anyone in North Wales who works with and on behalf of children and young people.
