Young Wales Annual Conference, 16/02/17 [W]

“It’s a chance for you to have your voice heard!”

On 21 February, Young Wales, the participation hub at Children in Wales, is holding its annual conference in Cardiff.

Young Wales works to ensure young people’s voices heard by Welsh Government and other decision makers in Wales, through engagement with youth forums, schools, youth groups, and individuals.

The conference has been planned and will be delivered by young people from the Young People’s Project Board who shape and lead the work of Young Wales.

“it would be great to hear directly from young people on the issues that affect them”

The conference include workshops led by young people, a video message from Carl Sargeant AM, Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Children, and a presentation by the Children’s Commissioner for Wales.

The event will be an excellent opportunity to find out about and engage with the work of Young Wales and priorities for the Board, through workshops focusing on mental well-being, bullying, climate change and education.

Delegates will also have the chance to put questions to the Children’s Commissioner and Assembly Members.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to influence decision makers and get involved in the participatory process.”

“The importance of these conferences for future generations is unmatched.”
