UK childhood wellbeing ranks behind much of Europe, 03/05/11 [W/E/NI/S]

UK children’s wellbeing lags behind many other European countries, including France, Germany, Slovenia and Estonia, recent research by Save The Children has found.

The annual State of the World’s Mothers report,  which rates countries based on the well-being of mothers and children, ranked the UK just 23rd in its children’s index. This ranking places it in the bottom half of the developed countries group.
