UK Budget 2014, 19/03/14 [W/E/NI/S]

Chancellor George Osborne has delivered his Budget Statement to Parliament, setting out the UK Government’s economic policies for the year ahead.

The economy is due to grow by 2.7% this year, and public borrowing forecast to be £108bn this year and £95bn next year.

The welfare budget is to be capped at £119bn for 2015-16, rising in line with inflation to £127bn in 2018-19. The cap includes child benefit, incapacity benefit, winter fuel payment and income support – but does not include state pension and Jobseeker’s Allowance.

The budget also includes various measures on tax and pensions and the economy.
