Severe Child Poverty in the UK, Save the Children, 19/6/07 [W/E/NI/S]

This report, published by Save the Children, contains the findings of a technical study which used a measure of severe child poverty to discriminate between the experiences of children defined as severely poor and other children. Using this measurement the report found that the levels of severe child poverty in Wales were at 13.4%, the second highest in the UK after London. The report also considers the characteristics and risk factors for severe child poverty.

The report can be downloaded from the Save the Children website.

A press release issued by Save the Children about the report outlines the action which they are calling on the Government to take.
