Review to look at responsible dog ownership and improving safety, 09/04/15 [W]

The RSPCA has been asked by the Welsh Government to lead a review into responsible dog ownership.

The aim of the review is to look at how to improve safety and awareness around dogs following increases in recent years of dog attacks, and also drive up animal welfare standards.

The review will involve schools and local authorities as well as vets and Dogs Trust Wales, and will include looking at how awareness of dog ownership can be improved amongst young people.

The review is due to report in the autumn. You can find out more from the Welsh Government website  here.
