Refugee Week Wales, 12/06/15 [W]

Refugee Week Wales will be held from 15-21 June this year.

Refugee Week is a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events and activities that celebrates the contribution of refugees to the UK and promotes better understanding of why people seek sanctuary. Anyone can take part by organising, attending or taking part in activities.

As part of this, the Welsh Refugee Council, the Wales Millennium Centre, The Riverfront and Oriel Learning in partnership with sector organisations in Wales are holding a festival called Safer Spaces from 13-27 June

There will be singing, poetry, and chances to learn about the positive contributions asylum seekers and refugees make to Wales in Newport, Cardiff and Wrexham.
