New framework on digital skills, 10/06/15 [W]

A new framework will be introduced to help pupils in schools across Wales develop their digital skills, Huw Lewis, Minister for Education and Skills, has announced.

This builds on the recommendations in the independent review of ICT in Wales, and Professor Graham Donaldson’s review of Curriculum and Assessment arrangements in Wales, which was published by the Welsh Government in March.

The Digital Competence Framework will be produced through partnership working between Welsh Government, leading schools in the field, , regional consortia and experts from higher education and industry.

It will enable leading to embed digital competence into their teaching and learning, and to share best practice across Wales.
