Michael sheen speaks out about slavery and trafficking, 18/10/16 [W]

Unicef UK ambassador, Michael Sheen, has spoken about the role of society and Government in promoting the protection of refugee children and victims of trafficking.

The current refugee crisis has resulted in 28 million child refugees fleeing conflict and needing safety and protection. Due to their extreme vulnerability many of these children may experience exploitation. Raising awareness of modern slavery is key to tackling the issue, with more cases being reported and victims coming forward. As part of Anti-Slavery week, Welsh Government brought together experts in the field and third sector organisations working to provide the best possible support to survivors of slavery.
