Low Vision Toolkit launched, 22/10/09 [W]

Gwenda Thomas, Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services, has launched a new toolkit to help partially sighted children make the most of their sight.

The Low Vision Toolkit was developed by the Children’s Low Vision Advocate for Wales and was piloted with young people and children across Wales. It is designed to teach children with low vision about their sight and what they can do to make the most of it.

The bilingual teaching resource was funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and in partnership with RNIB Cymru.

Further information is available on the Welsh Assembly Government website.
