Lead and Emerging Practitioner Schools programme, 15/01/13 [W]

Wales’ highest performing schools have been invited to work with partner schools wishing to make improvements, to offer support and share good practice.

The Lead and Emerging Practitioner Schools programme will partner a high-ranking primary or secondary school with an emerging school who have made effort to make improvements, with limited success. They will work together for up to 18 months to put in place changes that will support ongoing improvement.

The programme is part of an overall drive to improve standards in schools across Wales.

Schools wishing to become a ‘Lead’ school in the programme must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and high standards over the last 3 years, in particular in literacy and numeracy.

Full details about the programme and how to apply can be found on the Welsh Government website.
