Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse TV Advert campaign launched, 14/01/2019 [W/E]

In mid-January, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) launched a TV advert campaign aimed at encouraging victims and survivors of child sexual abuse to share their experiences.

The IICSA was established in 2014 after several high profile instances of non-recent child sexual abuse. It operates independently of government to investigate organisations that were and continue to fail to protect children from sexual abuse.

The organisation has launched their TV awareness campaign to make victims and survivors of child sexual abuse aware of opportunities to share their experiences at the Truth Project.

It is hoped that by sharing what has happened to them with the Truth Project, victims and survivors will have the opportunity to be heard, as well as creating a wider public discussion about the impact of child sexual abuse.

Currently, over 2,000 experiences have been shared.

The adverts will run from 14 January 2019 to the end of February, along with supporting activity across social media networks.
