Funding to improve school attendance announced, 27/02/13 [W]

Leighton Andrews, the Minister for Education and Skills, has announced new funding to help regional education consortia improve attendance in schools across Wales.

The £800,000 fund has been made available for consortia who submit costed plans for how they will improve attendance in their area. This was done on a local authority level in the past.

The aim is to build on recent improvements to attendance in schools at both primary and secondary level.

More details about the fund can be found on the Welsh Government website.
