Funding for apprenticeships in Wales, 25/10/12 [W]

The Welsh Government has announced £50 million funding for apprenticeship places for newly recruited young people aged 16-24.

The funding was announced by Jeff Curthbert, Deputy Minister for Skills, at this years National Training Federation Wales conference. The Deputy Minister also wants to engage with employers to create more apprenticeship places through the Work Based Learning Network.

The Welsh Government believes apprenticeships can help both young people and employers, and are an important part of boosting the economy of Wales.
