Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Bill passed by National Assembly, 22/01/13 [W]

The National Assembly for Wales has now passed the Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Bill.

The Bill introduces a food hygiene rating system which must be displayed by food businesses, including schools, hospitals, and care home, as well as restaurants, pubs and cafes.

The Bill will now go forward to receive Royal Assent, after a 4-week period when any objections or questions can be raised by the Council General, the Attorney General, or the Secretary of State for Wales.
