Cwricwlwm Cymreig should be integrated across school subjects, says report, 03/05/13 [W]

A Welsh dimension should continue to be incldued in all subjects in Welsh schools, a group of experts has concluded in their interim report.

The independent group was set up by the Welsh Government to consider whether aspects of “Welshness” should be taught only as part of history in the future.

However, in it’s interim report, The Cwricwlwm Cymreig, history and the story of Wales, the group has recommended that the Cwricwlwm Cymreig, which aims to give learners the chance to develop an understand of the unique economic, cultural, linguistic and environmental nature of Wales, should continue to be woven into the whole educational  curriculum.

A survey is available on the Learning Wales website for members of the public to give their opinions on the future of the curriculum. The report is also available on the Learning Wales website.
