Action for Children Wales Committee Members

Action for Children supports the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK and has done so for 150 years. Working with over 301,000 children, young people and families is not enough for us, we know there are millions of disadvantaged children in the UK. This is unacceptable, and we want to do more. Our ambition is that any child that needs help, gets help. Everything we do is focussed on supporting children, young people and their families. It is an exciting and challenging time for us as we celebrate our 150-year Anniversary of our founding. We are a vibrant and successful organisation providing essential services, but in a challenging environment.

We are looking to recruit new Committee members to our Wales Committee. The role of the Wales Committee is to play an active role in overseeing the delivery of high quality services to children and young people and their families in Wales. We wish to appoint individuals with varied skills sets and backgrounds and who live in Wales. We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and knowledgeable individuals, from a diverse set of backgrounds who share our ambition and passion to improve the lives of children, young people and families in Wales. We are particularly looking for individuals with experience in the management and leadership of Children Services within a Local Authority or other setting and/or a background in the Education sector /Special Schools.

We would also welcome applicants from North Wales.
