The Genesis project to help unemployed or unqualified people overcome many of the barriers they face when wanting to learn new skills or return to work was successfully piloted by Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) and is now being offered through Wales and is partly funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and European Social Fund.
Genesis Cymru Wales aims to reduce barriers faced by people who wish to learn new skills or return to work. The project also works alongside people to help them explore long forgotten hopes and aspirations and provides guidance and support to help them achieve their hopes and build a brighter future.
If you are unemployed or on a low income and looking after children prevents you from developing new skills and improving your employment prospects, the Genesis project (unique to your local council) can offer financial assistance and other support to help you build a better future for you and your children.
