Services Provided
This project works in partnership with Conwy Social Services to promote positive parenting with individual families and via parenting groups.
The service provides a limited amount of 1:1 support and a range of group opportunities. Work is focused on parents and carers of children aged 0-11 years. Programmes range from babies and toddlers groups to more structured courses following validated programmes eg, The Incredible Years by Caroline Webster Stratton, also Confidence and Self Esteem programmes and Handling Children’s Behaviour for parents of children with or without special needs.
This project only works with families that have been referred by Conwy Social Service. The services are suitable to all parents and carers who are seeking help with parenting skills.
Bilingual telephone line
A planned telephone support line for parents/carers of children who live in rural areas or are unable to attend groups for any reason.
Conwy Snapdragons
This project provides after school playgroups for children with disabilities ages 5 to 11 yrs, one a fortnight during term time only. Referrals through the Children with Disabilities team only.
