The Centre is a ‘one stop shop’ where families can access a range of services including childcare, pre-school learning, family support, health promotion and community training.

Services include:

• Daily pre-school playgroup sessions in English and Welsh for two to three year olds run by WPPA and MYM;
• Parent, Carer and Toddler groups run by WPPA and MYM;
• A 52 place day care nursery provision for children 0 – 5 years operated by Footsteps Day Nursery;
• Pentrebach Open Access Play, which is run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00 and is a playgroup for 8 - 12 year olds in the area
• A Toy Library for children aged 0-10 years with a ‘try before you buy’ opportunity for parent and child
• A Children’s Information Service for parents and carers wishing to access information about services and activities for children aged 0-14 years;
• Training/conference facilities for up to 120 people which will be made available to all agencies/businesses within the County Borough.

Also many other groups are run from Cwm Golau, such as the Breastfeeding Group, Parenting Group and Young Mums.
