The North Wales Children's Rights Service is a Tros Gynnal's project, based in Bangor, North Wales. The service provides Advocacy and Participation opportunities for children and young people In Need and 'looked after' by Gwynedd and Ynys Môn Social Services Departments and an Independent Visitor Service for those with minimal or no family contact.

'The importance of advocacy provision for children and young people to safeguard them from poor practice, unfair, abusive treatment, or bullying and to provide a stronger voice in the planning and delivery of services is widely recognised and for children living or staying away from home it is paramount.' (Welsh Assembly Government)

The service also works with some private schools and units in Gwynedd, providing a visiting advocacy service for Arran Hall and Branas Isaf
