The Cardiff Advocacy Team is part of the children’s rights organisation Tros Gynnal. The project provides an advocacy and participation service to children and young people who are looked after by Cardiff Children’s Services including children with disabilities receiving short breaks. There is also a service provided to care leavers.

Tros Gynnal is an independent agency providing advocacy, information, advice, support and representation. The Advocacy Service works within a high level of confidentiality.

Children and young people can contact the project directly on the free phone number, via text message, or by freepost. Young people can also access the service by approaching the advocates who visit the children’s residential units within Cardiff.  Referrals can also be made on a young person’s behalf with their prior agreement.
