Advocacy Projects

This section provides details of advocacy projects in different areas of Wales. These services are mainly for children looked after but there is variation between the projects. Voices from Care provide peer advocacy across Wales.

NYAS Cymru - North East Wales
NYAS Cymru provides advocacy and independent visiting services to children and young people up to 25 years of age from Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire who are known to Social Services.
NYAS Cymru - North West Wales
NYAS Cymru provides advocacy and independent visiting services to children and young people up to 25 years of age from Anglesey, Conwy and Gwynedd who are known to Social Services.
NYAS Cymru - Gwynedd
NYAS Cymru provides information, advice and advocacy services to children, young people and families who are between the ages of 0-25yrs, living in Gwynedd and who do not have any Social Services involvement.
Family and Community Team (FACT)
Action for children’s children’s rights project, Carmarthenshire, offers advocacy and participation services to looked after children and young people and care leavers in Carmarthenshire.
Powys Carers Service
Powys Carers Service provides advocacy for young carers.
Advocacy Services for children and young people in Caerphilly
Advocacy services for children and young people in Caerphilly are run by the National Youth Advocacy Service.
Advocacy Services for children and young people in Torfaen
Advocacy services for children and young people in Torfaen are run by the National Youth Advocacy Service.
Meic
Meic provides children and young people in Wales with a single point of contact via telephone, text and instant messaging seven days a week.
Neath Port Talbot Children's Advocacy and Representation Service
Providing an independent Advocacy and Representation Service to children and young people who are looked after by Local Authorities and those in the Secure Estate.
Wrexham: Second Voice
Second Voice is an advocacy service based in Wrexham that helps young people aged 11-25 get heard on issues affecting them.
MAZE/Drysfa Advocacy Project
This project is run by Tros Gynnal
