Children in Wales' Annual Round Table Conference 2013 - Nurturing Resilience for Children and Families: What are the Protective Factors?
This Round Table conference provided the opportunity for attendees to consider how to tackle vulnerabilities through supporting and strengthening children, young people and families.
Promoting Infant Mental Health, 06/02/2013
This event looked at research evidence and promising practice in relation to promoting infant mental health.
Stronger Together - Children in Wales Third Sector Conference 2012, 05/12/12
This conference examined third sector engagement as well as grant funding, commissing and working as consortia.
Children in the Asylum Process - The Challenge of Border Control and Child Protection, 07/11/12
This conference was organised jointly by the Welsh Refugee Council and Children in Wales to look at practical ways to help protect children in the asylum system and examples of things that have really worked from across the UK.
Annual Forum, Eisteddfod 2012, 08/08/12
Gwenda Thomas, Deputy Minister for Children and Social Services, gave a speech on children's well-being at Children in Wales' Annual Forum at the National Eisteddfod 2012.
Safeguarding Children and Young People in NHS Wales: ‘Looking through a different lens’, 21/06/12
This event brought together key health service personnel to raise awareness of current issues in safeguarding children and young people and consider actions to improve safeguarding practice.
“Autism in My Superpower!” 13/06/12
This information day examined the issues experienced by children and young people with autism from a range of perspectives including the children/ young people themselves, parents and professionals.
Protecting Black & Minority Ethnic Children, 28/05/12
This workshop was set up to consider a study undertaken jointly by the Black Association of Women Step Out (BAWSO) and Cardiff University.The overall focus of the study was to look back at the number of children BAWSO have worked with who have been on the Child Protection Register with the aim of exploring patterns of registration, de-registration and on-going social work support.
Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Objectification and Sexual Abuse: Engaging with Research, Policy and Practice, 30/04/12
New research was presented at this seminar generating discussion around best practice and policy development for practitioners working with children and young people in the area of sex and relationships education, sexual bullying, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation.
Influencing the agenda: Keeping the focus on children and young people through the changes in social services, 26/03/12
This round table conference considered the implications for children, young people and their families of developments in social services including the Social Services (Wales) Bill.
Families affected by substance misuse, 13/03/12
This information day was run by Fforwm Magu Plant and Fatherhood Wales.

This one-day conference highlighted methods of participation and examples of good practice.

Disabled Children and Young People Have Rights Too!, 23/06/10
This conference looked at how disabled children, young people and their families can be made a national priority in Wales, and also the UK’s reports to the United Nations on the rights of disabled children.
National Child Poverty Conference, 27/05/10
The National Child Poverty Conference, held in Cardiff on 27th May 2010 provided delegates with their first opportunity to debate the issues and challenges on taking action to reduce child poverty in Wales, as a result of new statutory duties outlined within the Children and Families Measure.
"Things to do and places to go!" - Access to community play and leisure activities for disabled children and young people - 19/05/12
Disabled children and young people continually identify having access to the same play and leisure activities as non disabled children or young people as their number one priority. In this seminar we heard from a variety of organisations who are hoping to support services to include disabled children and young people in their activities.
