Young Carers Network

Children in Wales supports the development of services and support for young carers through:-

Facilitating the Young carers workers network.
This network meets four times a year, and is open to all young carers workers. The network hold three one day meetings to share issues and concerns, and to develop good practice and also holds a two day meeting and training event in September each year.

Representing young carers on the Carers Strategy Review Panel
The Welsh Assembly Government facilitates the Carers Strategy Review Panel whose remit is to oversee the development of services to carers. Children in Wales represents Young Carers issues in this meeting. Young carers also attend the meeting on an annual basis to present their own issues to the panel.
