The Forum is open to all those, either currently working with fathers, or who are considering working with fathers. It exists to promote and share good practice in the challenging field of engaging fathers.

We are able to disseminate new research as it comes out, along with providing links to existing sources of information on working with fathers. The Forum also offers it’s members a route to respond to any consultations currently being carried out. We have already responded to the NSF, the Parental Separation Green paper, and the Parenting Action Plan for Wales.

Meetings allow members to share information with others working in the field here in Wales, as well as providing a direct line of communication to other organisations such as the UK Fatherhood Forum.

Fatherhood Wales is working in partnership with Fathers Direct, and has close links with the Equal Opportunities Commission and The Children’ Commissioner for Wales. We meet  a minimum of four times a year, with meetings rotating around the whole of Wales.
