Early Years and Childcare Advisory Group

This Children in Wales group has now been re-established with its first full meeting held in October 2004.  Membership is drawn from across the sectors and Rita Jones, Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin, a trustee of Children In Wales, chairs the group.

The aims of the Early Years and Childcare Advisory group include:

  • To raise public awareness of the needs and entitlement of all young children and their families;
  • To influence public policy and bring about change;
  • To develop and promote a coherent national strategy to support the development of children from birth to eight;
