Child Accident Prevention Practice and Information Exchange (CHAPPIE) Network
Child Accident Prevention Practice and Information Exchange (CHAPPIE) Network

The CHAPPIE network aims to promote the prevention of accidents and unintentional injuries for children and young people across Wales. This new network was formed in October 2008 to support practitioners who have a role to play in the reduction of injuries. The network has members from a wide range of organisations and agencies, all working to reduce the number of children who are killed and seriously injured through unintentional injuries.

This proactive network enables members to:

  • Share and access information, practical knowledge and expertise
  • Identify evidence based good practice interventions
  • Meet potential partners for collaborative accident prevention work
  • Share resources and tools with practitioners
  • Contribute to national campaigns and coordinate on a local level
  • Access a broad range of accident prevention practitioners from across Wales
  • Contribute to national policy and practice
  • Access research findings
