Chief Executive

Catriona Williams has been the Chief Executive of Children in Wales for over 20 years. She is responsible for the strategic leadership of the organisation and represents the Welsh children’s sector at a variety of Welsh, UK and international forums.

Lynne is responsible for work in the fields of family support and parenting, early years, disability and young carers, participation of children and young people, and support for the Family Information Network and also oversees Children in Wales information services.

Policy Director

Sean is one of two Policy Directors at Children in Wales responsible for the management and co-ordination Children in Wales’ work in specific policy areas.  Sean is responsible for work in the fields of child poverty, children’s rights, safeguarding, looked after children, advocacy and issues relating to refugees, asylum-seekers and migrating families.

South Wales Development Officer

As South Wales Development Officer Sarah is responsible for co-ordinating work relating to the promotion of children’s rights in South Wales and works at an all-Wales level on issues relating to bullying and the involvement of the third sector in service delivery. Sarah also works developing and implementing Children in Wales’ policy and public education work, including Cymru Ifanc – Young Wales, through direct work with a diverse range of children and young people and the practitioners and the organisations that support them.

Liz is responsible for  the Children’s Financial Capability and Parenting Pilot in south Wales.

The year-long pilot aims to improve the financial capability of children in Wales through working with their parents. It will work with parenting practitioners in multiple local authorities in north and south Wales to integrate financial capability content into existing courses.

Senior Training Officer

Claire oversees the Children in Wales training program and commissioned training, as well as the work of the Training Officers. Claire has a particular expertise in training for child protection and safeguarding issues and children’s rights.

Hannah Davey

Policy Information and Communications Officer

Hannah  is responsible for  Children in Wales’ information and communication services. This includes researching policy, managing the Children in Wales website,  producing a range of materials for members and editing the Children in Wales magazine.

Jenny McMillan

IRM Contract Manager

Jenny is responsible for co-ordinating work relating to IRM  Cymru.  This includes liaising with applicants, agency staff, panel members and advisors.
