Getting it Right for Families?
Location:Builth Wells
Date:23 Oct 2008
Organiser:Children in Wales
Children in Wales is holding a joint conference with the Family Information Services Wales during Parents Week. The theme of Parents Week this year is 'Getting it Right for Families?' and an important strand ofthe Conference will be information provision for families and how this can be improved in the light of the new Information Duty recently introduced as part of the Childcare Act 2006.

At the same time the Minister will launch the new Guidelines for Including Fathers in Early Years Services, which have been commissioned by the Welsh Assembly Government.

The overall aim of the conference will be to bring together policy makers and professionals in the field to review policy and practice around family support in Wales, and to provide a focus on information provision as well as highlighting examples of good practice. The conference will also give delegates the opportunity to consider their own policy and practice through a series of formal presentations and workshops.

Further information is available by downloading the flyer on the right.
