This half day seminar presents recent research findings, best practice and policy development for practitioners working with children and young people in the area of sex and relationships education, sexual bullying, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. Bringing together current research from the School of Social Sciences' Gender, Sexuality and Childhood Research Groups, the aim of the day is to encourage reflection and debate on the relationship between research and practice exploring the everyday experiences of sexual objectification and violence with research and practice on child sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse. Identifying future directions in research, policy and practice in Wales will be an essential outcome of the session.
